This was a descriptive, retrospective study conducted at the oncology clinic at the Connaught Hospital’s Specialist Outpatient (SOP) unit. The Connaught Hospital is a 300-bed teaching hospital founded in 1912 and is part of the University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex. It is located in the central part of the capital city, Freetown, and is the largest referral health facility in the country. It provides care in two main disciplines: surgery and medicine.
