CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The former bank CEO who was accused of conspiring with disbarred Lowcountry attorney Alex Murdaugh pleaded guilty to six federal charges Friday in a plea agreement. Russell Laffitte pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud, and three counts of misapplication of bank funds. The plea is part of an agreement Laffitte entered into on Monday.
