INAUGURAL Demon Lily Mithen will depart for the Gold Coast Suns, after Melbourne agreed to a multi-club trade on Friday. Mithen, who has played 82 games in the red and blue, will head north, with the Demons receiving selection No.2 and No.20 in the deal. Melbourne will also part ways with pick No.10, 28 and 46. Melbourne AFLW List Manager Todd Patterson thanked Mithen for her remarkable contribution over the past nine seasons.

MELBOURNE’S Marty Hore will pull on the red and blue again in 2025, signing a one-year contract extension with the club. Hore, who rejoined Melbourne via the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period last year, agreed to terms on Wednesday, following a strong return to the club he called home between 2019 and 2021. Adding to the Demons’ defensive stocks, the 28-year-old managed six senior games this past season, while he also represented Casey on seven occasions.

MELBOURNE has completed a second pick swap of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, securing pick No.9 and a future third-round selection from Essendon. The Demons parted ways with a future first-round selection in the deal with the Bombers on Monday, as well as picks 28, 40, 46, 54 and 65. The move was made possible by an earlier trade with the Crows in which the club traded its future third-round selection for pick 46.

MELBOURNE has continued its AFL Trade Period activity, completing a pick swap with Adelaide on Monday morning. The Demons secured pick No.46 in a deal with the Crows to open the second week, giving up a future third-round selection in return. “This trade will allow us to partake in some further activity and move up the draft order this AFL Trade Period,” Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb said. As it stands, Melbourne holds picks No.5, 28, 40, 46, 49, 54 and 65 in this year’s Telstra AFL Draft.

MELBOURNE has welcomed a new addition to its AFL list, signing Tom Campbell on the opening day of the Free Agency period. The ruckman arrives with a wealth of experience, having been a Saint for the past three seasons and calling the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne home prior to that. At 201cm tall, Campbell is set to add to the Dees’ ruck stocks. “Tom is an experienced, competitive ruck, who we are excited to welcome to the club,” Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb.
