Following a round of active weather on Thursday, Easter Weekend will be on the quieter and mild side with rain chances holding off until Sunday afternoon. We are looking at relatively quiet conditions throughout today with mostly cloudy skies sticking around; however, pockets of sunshine are anticipated at times.

We are looking at a typical spring week across the area with warm temperatures mixed with windy conditions and scattered rain chances. Today will be mostly cloudy with some light scattered showers possible around the area through this afternoon into this evening. Totals will be light with up to a tenth of an inch possible. Despite the cloudy skies and rain chances on the way, temperatures will be seasonal with highs hovering in the low-50s.

A kindergartener from South Elementary in St. Peter has dreams and goals of some day walking on the moon also enjoys learning about the weather because of how fast it can change. Landon, who is only 6 years old, knows he wants to become a scientist some day, with the goal of building a rocket ship and flying it to the moon. Despite loving science, he really enjoys learning about math in school because his teacher makes it fun with games that help them learn and remember. He also enjoys reading.

Winter has come and gone, despite holding on for as long as possible, which means Spring is finally here to stay! We are looking at spring conditions continuing with minor rain chances mixed in this weekend, next week and highs ranging from the 50s into the low-70s. Today will be a mix of cloud coverage and sunshine depending on when you are outside. Temperatures will slowly rise into the low to mid-50s by this afternoon with a good breeze and chance for showers mixed in.
