The Kansas City, Kansas, product was voted to the team by 16 reporters who cover the Southeastern Conference. The honor marks Mitchell's second in as many days as he was selected to the All-SEC third team Monday by the league's coaches.

    No. 25 Mizzou wrestling has had more than two weeks off since its final match of the regular season, which it ended on a bit of a skid. The Tigers (5-10, 4-4 Big 12) dropped three consecutive matches, to No. 22 Oklahoma, third-ranked Oklahoma State and No. 12 Iowa State. Mizzou may have had a sour taste in its mouth to close out the season, but it has now had time to process those losses while gearing up for the Big 12 Wrestling Championship, which begins at 8 a.m. Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
