Posted 25 WEATHER — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most of Central Texas, and all of the Brazos Valley, until 10 PM Sunday. Scattered thunderstorms will develop through the afternoon and evening, and some may be able to produce large hail and damaging winds. The tornado threat is decidedly lower today but still worth watching for. Stay with the 25 Weather team on air and online for the latest.

25 WEATHER — Our weather will remain quiet through tonight as skies remain generally clear. Lows will drop into the 60s. Temperatures will continue to warm up tomorrow, placing us in the 90s for most of the area. The northeast corner of Central Texas may stay in the 80s due to some rain in the area. Speaking of which, there is the chance of some scattered thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening, mainly east of Interstate 35. These will be originating from DFW.

25 WEATHER — Thunder might have woken you up overnight but the rain and storms are on their way out as the sun comes up. Only the Brazos Valley will have to contend with a few storms early this morning. The rest of us will be rid of the rain, and the clouds will begin to thin out through the day. With northerly winds coming in, our temperatures will be rather pleasant. Look for highs in the upper-70s and low-80s today.

25 WEATHER — Spotty thunderstorms have come to an end this evening, but more storms are on their way for late tonight. As we get close to dawn, a line of showers and thunderstorms will come in from the northwest. These will be in the process of weakening but may still contain heavy rain and gusty winds. This first round should clear our counties by mid-morning. That should hopefully leave us a window of some quiet weather for midday and much of the afternoon.

25 WEATHER — Unfortunately, today was another day with the heat rising into the mid-90s, and the added humidity made it feel like over 100° at times. This is what we can expect tomorrow. Skies will be quicker to clear out west of I-35 for Sunday while areas east of there may see some scattered clouds. We might even be able to get a brief shower or storm where Central Texas meets the Brazos Valley. Lows will be in the mid-70s.
