FLINT, Mich. – A trial for a Flint woman accused of hitting her boyfriend with a vehicle is now on hold as the court has granted a motion for her to be evaluated for her competency. According to court records, the trial against Candice Patton was set to begin in Genesee County on Wednesday June 25th; that was until the court ruled that she will go for psychiatric testing. 37-year-old Patton is facing a 1st Degree Homicide charge and is currently in the Genesee County Jail, being held without bond.

BIRCH RUN TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Two people are dead after a truck collided with a lawnmower over the weekend. The crash happened on late last Friday evening in the 12000 block of Gera Rd.Investigators say that a lawnmower attempted to cross the roadway, and came into the path of a Ford F-150. The 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman on the lawnmower were pronounced dead on scene. Police say that the 43-year-old Mount Morris man driving the truck is cooperating with the investigation.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. - After being denied a request for a new trial, Jennifer Crumbley is now asking to be released on bond. Jennifer Crumbley, the mother of the Oxford High School shooter, is seeking for the Michigan Court of Appeals to allow her to be released on bond while she appeals her conviction. Her attorney has also filed a motion on her behalf asking for the bond motion to be expedited.
