SAGINAW, Mich. – The Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office says that the actions taken by law enforcement during an officer-involved shooting back in March were justified and no charges will be filed. According to the SCPO, two 911 calls were made on March 30th in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a 33-year-old male. The subject was armed with a knife and wanted officers to “kill him”, according to one of the calls.

SAGINAW, Mich. – Officers that have went above and beyond the call of duty in the City of Saginaw were recognized Wednesday. The 2025 Saginaw Police Department 2025 annual awards ceremony began Chief Bob Ruth remembering and honoring the fallen officers who gave their lives and their families. Three new officers were also sworn in during the ceremony. The ceremony also recognized retirements and officers with exceptional performance and meritorious service.

FLINT, Mich. – Police found a man dead inside his room at a local motel on Friday. The body of a 55-year-old was found by officers after reports of a shooting the Travel Inn.
