Middle District of Alabama U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose on Friday dismissed remaining claims in a lawsuit brought by former Montgomery Police chief Ernest Finley against the City of Montgomery and Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed. Finley was the chief of police at the Montgomery Police Department from 2015 to 2021. Finley filed a lawsuit in March 2023 alleging the city discriminated against, retaliated against, and conspired against him and ultimately forced him to resign because of his race.

According to a campaign press release, Boozer has managed billions, earned billions, and saved millions of dollars for Alabama taxpayers during his tenure as treasurer. Missing teenager Pheobe Bishop’s housemate James Wood has spoken of their car ride to Bundaberg Airport where she disappeared almost three weeks ago.
