The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix is set to host the final race of it’s contract at Imola, with the race dropping off the calendar for the 2026 season. Formula One (F1) hadn’t raced at the circuit since 2006 until the Covid-19 pandemic hit and the circuit was added to the calendar as one of three races held in Italy that season. It’s current place on the calendar is largely seen as a hangover from that season. The 2023 race was cancelled due to flooding in the area.

It’s been another 24 hours in the headlines for Alpine, and none of the headlines about the team are particularly positive. Out of the team are team principal Oliver Oakes and driver Jack Doohan, with Flavio Briatore taking over Oakes’ former role and former Williams driver Franco Colapinto taking the wheel. It begins another chapter for the French team, owned by Renault. In fact, the team has had so many chapters in it’s recent history it borders on a Harry Potter novel.

The release of F1 25 is due on 30th May with anticipation building and gamers keen to get their hands on the latest installment in the franchise. Alongside the latest Braking Point chapter, the g/ame also features a revamped “My Team” career mode, as well as new LIDAR scanned tracks, and new customisation.

Oscar Piastri took the lead of the World Drivers’ Championship with a stunning win at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Australian assumed the lead of the race after Max Verstappen was given a five-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage on lap one. After a poor qualifying, Lando Norris recovered to x after starting 10th but slips to second in the Drivers’ World Championship.

Oscar Piastri stormed to a controlled Bahrain Grand Prix win, and moved into 2nd in the Formula One (F1) Drivers’ Championship, as chaos and overtakes galore unfolded behind him. It was a clean drive from the Aussie, who kept his cool in the heat of the Bahraini desert, whilst those behind him duelled under the lights. Russell crossed the line in second place, ahead Lando Norris, who endured a chaotic Bahrain Grand Prix.
