Williams High School hosted its Scholarships and Academic Awards Night on May 30. According to WHS counselor James Powers, approximately $570,000 were awarded out in both local scholarships and larger tuition scholarships combined. The Williams High School baseball team is moving on to the quarterfinals of the 1A state playoffs. The No. 8-seeded Vikings came from behind to defeat the No. 9 seed Ray Bearcats at home on May 3. A two-out grand slam from catcher Jack Dent in the bottom of the fourth inning put the Vikings ahead 4-2.
