WORCESTER, Mass. - City Councilor Etel Haxhiaj joining community leaders in Worcester now demanding justice in the aftermath of what's believed to be a raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. "The message for ICE is, 'Get out of our city,'" Haxhiaj said. Haxhiaj was one of many at what police described as a chaotic scene on eureka street, leading to multiple arrests and a community now asking for answers.

MASSACHUSETTS - Staff retention has been a challenge for hospitals across the country in the aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic and UMass Memorial Health is no different. This nurses week, they're celebrating a program offering opportunities to the next generation of caregivers. The hospital system says says their New Graduate Nurse Residency Program has a retention rate between 88% and 94% for first year registered nurses. The program is now available at five hospitals across the region.

Brian Allen will fill the position being left open by Dr. Rachel Monárrez, who is going back to California at the end of this school year. A South High graduate, Allen says he's excited to get to work as the district's leader. He says his decades long tenure in the Worcester Public Schools gives him a wealth of knowledge to help lead the district on the right path forward.

GARDNER, Mass. - It's considered one of the state's most haunted properties and it's up for sale. The S.K. Pierce Victorian Mansion has been scaring the people of Central Massachusetts for well over a century. Spectrum News 1 got a special tour of the property. Listing agent Brenda Albert says she is being inundated with people hoping to get an inside look at the mansion, which is listed for $1.2 million, and 2025 marked 150 years since it was built.
