Emma Russell (E.R.): Hear that sound? That’s the sound of nearly 150 girls of the 400 potential Panhellenic Sorority PNMs, or “Potential New Members,” eagerly waiting outside of recruitment orientation in University Hall. Spring semester is the start of recruitment for many of LMU’s Greek life and service organizations, of which there are over 30 total. Rushing a sorority, fraternity or service org is scary, and can feel like a pretty big deal for some.

Despite LMU being home to hundreds of student organizations, some students still have trouble finding one that caters to their interests. Luckily for them, students are frequently given the opportunity to create their own organizations that will further broaden the options for students who want to get involved. During the fall 2024 semester, Rosie Sabourin, education and learning sciences major, felt that there was still something missing for the dance community in particular.
