An open-world RPG set in medieval Bohemia, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 takes a slower-paced, down-to-earth, yet occasionally more humorous approach than many of its contemporaries. It’s at its best when protagonist Henry, the lowborn son of a blacksmith and a permanent fish out of water, steps off the beaten path to observe and converse with the game’s mammoth cast, many of whom have a strange story to tell, a bone to pick, or a harebrained scheme to rope you into.

Today’s Epic Games Store freebie is Orcs Must Die 3, a co-op tower defense strategy game where you’ll pummel, squish, shoot, and explode waves of orcs, ideally with some friends in tow. It’s another great offering following a series of back-to-back free EGS games like Kill Knight, Hot Wheels Unleashed, and Ghostrunner 2. First released back in 2020 as a timed Google Stadia exclusive, Orcs Must Die 3 eventually made its way to Steam in 2021, where it still boasts a ‘very positive’ user rating.
