Happy Friday. Today, we are in the sights of a slow moving and weak system. The Coast has seen low clouds and fog all day due to the increasing moisture that the winds are drawing in. As the system gets closer, the winds will continue to shift Westerly, and the Coast's cloud cover will begin to spread inland. Wind directions and instability are currently forcing some pop up showers to form over the Cascades.

Good Afternoon. Today's weather is very basic. We are looking at the results of a high pressure system amplifying over our head. As the amplitude of our ridge increases, the resulting pressure builds and the atmosphere compresses. So, direct sunlight, a compressing atmosphere and Southerly winds have brought today's temps far above average. The rest of the day will look exactly the same through the evening. Completely clear skies and very light wind.

Good Morning. Today, we are watching high pressure move a ridge into the PNW that will give us a few days of very fair weather. With that, we start the morning off slightly chilly since the entire night had no cloud cover. As soon as the sun rises we will quickly begin to recover temperatures. From there forward, the day will have nothing but clear skies and sunshine. Temps for today will be around average or slightly over.

Good Morning. Today, we are under the impact of a small, weak short wave trough. This trough is dragging a low impact front through the area this morning and will be the cause of today's resulting conditions. The day will start off damp with shower chances through most of the Valley and Northern Coast. Any showers today will be low energy with rainfall total accumulations set to be less than a tenth of an inch.

Happy Friday. Today's main weather feature is still the setup from yesterday. A trough is building to the West and will turn into a storm system that takes aim at Northern California. Moisture and energy will wrap around the back side of the storm system and bring shower chances into our area. We are starting the morning off warm and cloudy with a few small showers picking up on the radar. As the morning progresses, little will change.

Good Morning. Today is starting calm with temps in the 40's and clear skies over the inland area. The Coast is developing a layer of fog and low clouds as marine influence is turned back on with today's Westerly surface winds. This layer will stick around for most of the day. We are watching the approach of a low pressure system today that will brush to our South and add instability and moisture into the evening.

Good Morning. Today we are starting the morning off with a smattering of 30's and low 40's. Last night, high pressure began to build and pushed away most of our cloud cover. Because of that, temps will continue to drop this morning and as such, we are in a frost advisory until 9 am. When the sun rises, there will be light cloud cover that will last though the late morning. The afternoon will be completely sunny and inactive. With the rising pressure, a warming trend begins today.

Good Morning. Today, we are in the influence of a large scale trough. This trough however, is not very deep and doesn't contain much energy. So, today's weather will be partially cloudy from the addition of upper level moisture. These conditions will brings today's high temperature down to below average for this time of year. Along the Coast, temps will range from the mid to high 50's. Inland, we will be somewhere in the low 60's.

Good Morning. Today is going to be a repeat of Thursday. The forces and conditions are nearly identical. The primary difference between today and yesterday will be total warming. With East winds and short wave high pressure still turned on, today's temps will be slightly warmer inland while slightly cooling along the Coast. Expect high 70's in the Basin, low 60's on the Coast, and low 70's in the Valley.

Good Morning. Today will once again be sunny, warm, and inactive. The key change in today's weather will be the beginning of a weak 2 day warming event. Yesterday's slight disturbance to our Northeast is no longer close enough to have any input on the PNW. So, ridging will be building in intensity today and thus pressure is increasing. Today's ridging will place a local zone of low pressure somewhere between the Coast and the Valley.
