April thunderstorms

After highs in the 40s/50s the first day 3 days of this week, temperatures climbed into the 60s today(away from Lake Michigan). Our next weather-maker arrives tonight with showers & thunderstorms. A soaking rain is expected across the N.E.W. in the next 24 hours. By Friday evening, many spots could receive over an inch of rain. We will also see thunderstorms. Some storms could be strong/severe, especially on Friday. Highs on Friday will range from the 40s/50s NE to the 60s/70s across the south.
April showers & storms return

Posted High pressure controlled our weather today & will continue to do so for much of Thursday. It brought us lots of sunshine & light winds. Our next weather-maker arrives late Thursday & Friday with showers & thunderstorms. This system will also kick the winds back up. Winds will gust over 30 mph on Thursday. A soaking rain is expected across the N.E.W. the next two days. We will also see thunderstorms. Some storms could be strong/severe, especially on Friday. Sunshine returns on Saturday.
The winds of change die down, but the change continues

A strong area of low pressure northeast of the Great Lakes produced strong winds across the region once again today. Northwest winds gusted over 40 mph at times. After some light snow this morning, clouds slowly decreased during the afternoon. Temperatures were cooler but near normal for the time of year. The normal high is in the lower 50s. High pressure will build in tonight & control our weather through Thursday. Expect lots of sunshine on Wednesday & Thursday.
From 60s to snow

A strong area of low pressure north of the Great Lakes produced strong winds across the region today. Westerly winds gusted over 40 mph at times. An upper-level system rotating around the low will bring rain/snow showers to N.E.W. overnight. On Tuesday, behind the system, we can expect increasing sunshine & gusty NW winds. Temperatures will be cooler but near normal for the time of year. The normal high is in the lower 50s.

After highs in the 30s on Monday, 40s yesterday, many spots climbed into the 50s today. A weak system will continue to slowly work across the state overnight & Thursday with light rain or snow showers. No thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday. Lots of sunshine across the area today. After highs in the 30s yesterday, temperatures climbed into the 40s today. Warmer but still 5-10 degrees below normal. Our next weather-maker arrives Wednesday with some light rain or snow showers. Temps will slowly moderate this week with much warmer weather for this upcoming weekend. Highs will be in the 50s & 60s. SE winds will keep it cooler near the Lake & Fox Valley at times.

It was a cold & blustery day across N.E.W.. After some light snow during the morning, flurries & gusty winds continued throughout the day. High temps were running 15 degrees below normal for this time of year. High pressure will build in overnight with clear skies & cold temperatures. Lows tonight will be in the 10s & 20s. Cold but not record setting. The record low is in the single digits. Tuesday will start with sunny skies, but clouds will drift in through the day.

The T-Rats kicked off their season today with seasonable temperatures & cloudy skies. A few rain showers are possible very early Saturday morning, and we could see a few snow showers late Sunday into Monday. In between, high pressure will give us some sunshine & seasonable temperatures. Some accumulating snow is possible, with highs on Monday only in the 30s. Besides that, mainly dry conditions are expected for the next seven days.

After a mostly cloudy morning and afternoon, sunshine returned by early evening. Winds gusting over 40 mph for much of the day will continue to subside tonight. High pressure will build in overnight and control the weather for most of Friday. High temperatures will be near normal in the upper 40s and lower 50s. A few rain showers are possible Friday night, and we could see a few snow showers late Sunday into Monday. Some accumulating snow is likely, with highs on Monday only in the 30s.

Northeast Wisconsin has been experiencing a parade of powerful storms since mid-March. The parade is over. A few weak systems will move over the state during the week or so, but will not produce significant weather. The final storm, which brought 1-3 inches of snow, a few thunderstorms, soaking rain, and gusty winds, will move off to the east overnight. High pressure will build in tomorrow with afternoon sunshine, gusty winds & seasonable temperatures.
