    In September 2020, as crews outside Yosemite National Park worked to contain the oncoming Creek Fire and evacuate those in its path, archaeologist Jennie Leonard was racing to protect something that couldn’t leave: the giant sequoias in the Mariposa Grove.  Leonard and her fellow resource advisors — who protect species, cultural items and other resources from wildfire and fire-suppression activities — covered the bases of the ancient trees with structure wrap, a fire-resistant aluminum fabric.

A dozen superhero movies are coming out yearly, there are more cartoons than I've ever cared to keep track of, and the number of comic books that come out every week is staggering. And that's just in the United States. While I enjoy watching anime and reading manga, I won't ever be able to watch or read them all.

    I am a complete novice, in regards to Geographic Information Systems. I have, however been having some success at taking the data from open sources, impporting that into QGIS and taking that data into a software like Rhino to create 3D models of a site. This is for study and building purposes. As you can see here. This is simply me palcing the survey over a pretty clear 3d terrain made from and imported ASC file uising a python script.
