PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - We broke Sunday’s daily record for high temperature- officially hitting 96 degrees in Portland (PDX) around 5:30 this evening. Hillsboro also set a new daily warm record today (96, beating out 95) and Eugene, too (94, beating out 93). Yikes it was hot! It will be a very warm overnight, with lows likely in the mid 60s in the metro area. Things will heat up quickly once again Monday- another afternoon in the low to mid 90s is expected.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - It was a toasty one out there, with PDX hitting 87 degrees Saturday afternoon. We’re expecting those high temperatures to climb about another 10 degrees Sunday. The forecast hasn’t changed since Friday- we’re still thinking mid 90s for most low-level locations west of the Cascades and mid 70s for the North Coast. It will be a First Alert Weather Day for the hot afternoon temperatures, and our first true hot day of the year.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Summer (meteorologically speaking) has arrived! It was beautiful out there, with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s in the western valleys and mainly low 60s along the coast. There’s an ongoing G4 magnetic storm happening, so hopefully some folks have a shot at seeing the aurora borealis Sunday night! We’ve already gotten some great photos from Saturday night and this morning.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Temperatures are rising quickly Friday afternoon through the low to mid 80s around the metro area. We’ll likely end up in the mid to upper 80s this evening at the Portland International Airport. A very weak disturbance could result in a few sprinkles along the coast and in the Cascades tomorrow, but valley locations will likely stay dry. You’ll notice the additional cloud cover and much cooler temperatures, likely in the mid 70s.
