Likely dry and cooler this weekend in Portland

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Another beautiful, dry day! Temperatures were in the upper 60s and low 70s in the metro area as of 3:00 p.m. Friday. We anticipate we’ll top out in the low to mid 70s at PDX. Models continue to show a mainly or totally dry weekend for the north valley, just increasing clouds and cooling temperatures. Spots around Bend, Burns and Eugene could get a couple spotty showers Saturday.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - It’s a beautiful Wednesday out there! We’re seeing sunny skies with early evening temperatures in the low to mid 70s for the metro area. We’ll be even warmer tomorrow; upper 70s are on tap for Portland as we pick up a light easterly flow through the Gorge. The North Coast will be in the mid to upper 60s. We’ve warmed up and dried out our weekend forecast because models are sending the cut-off low even farther south, into central California.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - It’s been a pretty gray Easter Sunday, but we haven’t seen too many showers (nothing measurable so far at the Portland International Airport as of 4:00 p.m.) There’s a band of showers showing up on radar now which may briefly get us wet this evening. Temperatures have reached the mid to upper 50s in the metro area. We’re expecting mainly dry conditions overnight, and mostly to partly cloudy skies on Monday.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - It was another beautiful day! Models did a good job with the timing for the early showers Saturday, with just trace amounts accumulating at PDX between 5 and 8 a.m. Highs topped out in the low to mid 60s around the metro area. Easter Sunday will be cooler and cloudier, with a few very light spotty showers. We’re expecting mild and mostly cloudy conditions in the morning, with a higher probability for a few light showers through the middle part of the day.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - We are wrapping up the work week with a warm and sunny Friday afternoon. Temperatures are climbing through the 70s, we’ve already hit the mid 70s at PDX (as of 3:00 p.m.) so we’ll likely finish up the day in the upper 70s. We’ll stay mainly clear and mild overnight tonight, with early showers arriving along the coast after midnight.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - It was a lovely Sunday afternoon with metro area temperatures reaching the upper 60s and low 70s. Sunday kicked off our stretch of dry weather, which continues all week long! Monday is your warmest day, with highs expected to reach the upper 70s in the Portland area. We’ll likely continue to see high temperatures in the 70s, and it’s pretty rare to see a consecutive stretch of 70+ days like this in April- the most we’ve ever seen is 8 days back in 2021.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - We saw some light scattered showers Saturday, but it didn’t amount to much: 0.04″ at Astoria was the highest rain total on our map with mostly zeroes in the metro area. Temperatures will be topping out in the mid to upper 50s around Portland. The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory late tonight through Sunday morning for most of the Willamette Valley and the foothills as overnight lows drop into the 30s with clearing skies.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - As promised- gray and drippy all day Sunday! It’s been very wet but rainfall rates have been mostly light around the metro area-- Portland and Vancouver have picked up around a quarter of an inch as of 6 p.m., and Salem has just over a half inch so far. The North Coast has also seen around a half inch, with more significant totals farther south, around Florence. Metro area temperatures have been hovering in the mid to upper 50s since this morning.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - What a beautiful day! Portland hit 75 degrees Saturday afternoon under thin, high clouds. Other metro area locations topped out in the low 70s. Quite the change is on the way as a front slides through overnight. The coast will start to see weak showers after midnight, and the interior valley will turn wet shortly after sunrise. Steady rain is expected through the afternoon and evening on Sunday, and high temperatures will cool to the upper 50s and low 60s in the Portland area.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - It’s stunning out there! After a chilly Friday morning (metro area low temperatures were in the low to mid 30s), temperatures warmed quickly into the mid 60s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. We’re expecting metro area highs to be around 70 degrees. Overnight lows won’t be quite as chilly tonight, and Saturday’s afternoon temperatures will be even warmer. We’re thinking low to mid 70s for our highs under thin, high clouds.
