(Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act and sent it up to the Senate which also has a Republican majority. The supposed purpose of the SAVE Act is to prevent voter fraud. Let’s talk about voter fraud for a moment. According to the Brennan Center the incidence of voter fraud in US elections varies between 0.0003% and 0.0025% each election.

Who do we turn to now? The question on many people’s minds, as the Justice Department’s deportation cases have wended their way through the courts, has been will Trump defy the Supreme Court? He, through the DOJ which is now functionally his legal team with no independence from him, has blithely resisted legal rulings, fought legal rulings, appealed legal rulings, and ignored legal rulings, basically treating them like serving suggestions on food labels.

Can martial law be far behind? Oh my god, you guys, Trump has militarized our southern border. Notice I said “our” not “the.” I think it’s important that we start reminding Trump who this country belongs to. We shouldn’t continue to allow him to treat it like his private fiefdom. Nor should we continue to allow him to treat the US Treasury like his checking account ($30+ million and counting for his golf weekends) or continue to allow him to treat the Justice Department like his private legal team.
