Maker’s Mark is moving towards a new path in product innovation and sustainability. The distillery is debuting its first new mash bill and first wheat whisky since its founding in 1953: Star Hill Farm Whisky. Named after the 1,100-acre farm that's home to the distillery, it'll be released annually, each edition made from a different mash bill. The 2025 release comprises two mash bills.

The practice of maturing whiskey multiple times by moving it from one barrel to another has risen in popularity.
