ELLINGTON -- Senior pitcher Camryn Fisher recorded her 1,000th career strikeout for the Ellington softball team Thursday, but the milestone was four seasons in the making. "I was just excited that all of my hard work paid off and that I've got my team behind me to hype me up and keep me going," Fisher said following her one-hit, 17-strikeout effort in the Knights' 9-1, North Central Connecticut Conference win over Coventry.

ELLINGTON - It's become a new tradition for the unbeaten Suffield baseball team. After each win, the team takes a team picture in the outfield and signifies how many wins it has. The UConn women's basketball team has the welcome mat out for two of the top players in the transfer portal. Serah Williams, a 6-foot-4 forward originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. now residing in Toronto, is on an official visit to UConn and is spending Tuesday on the Storrs campus. Williams has one year of eligibility remaining after playing three seasons in the Big Ten at Wisconsin.
