UNCASVILLE - Jennifer Rizzotti knew the Connecticut Sun would be playing a little bit of a waiting game Monday as the WNBA Draft began to unfold. With general manager Morgan Tuck on site with the coaching staff in New York, team president Rizzotti stayed behind in the Sun war room at Mohegan Sun while also taking time out to speak to and take questions from some 200 season-ticket holders at a draft party. "Is Aneesah Morrow on our board?" one fan asked.

HARTFORD - The UConn women's basketball team was together Sunday as the 2025 national champions were honored with a parade through downtown and with a rally outside the XL Center. Will the next time they are together be at the White House, where they've made 10 previous visits? "We haven't been invited so there's nothing to say," UConn coach Geno Auriemma said after a crowd estimated at 20,000 honored the Huskies.

TAMPA, Fla. — Kaili McLaren was having double the fun standing on the court at Amalie Arena following the UConn women's basketball team's 82-59 rout of South Carolina Sunday. The two-time national champion with the Huskies (2009-10) was celebrating the NCAA-record title No. 12 with dozens of her fellow alums and the current players. But there was also Big East pride involved for McLaren, who recently finished her second season as an assistant on Erin Batth's coaching staff at Providence.

The first Zach Clapp T1D Benefit Game is set for 11 a.m. at the upper field at the high school as the Rams will entertain reigning CIAC Class L champion Woodstock Academy.
