4. Enzymatic Synthetic Glycosylation of OligosaccharidesMost specific enzymes in glycosylation methods go through the natural capacity to catalyze the glycosylation process in aqueous media. In particular, the use of glycosidases for synthetic purposes presents some limitation and thus they have been extensively subjected to protein engineering strategies to improve or change catalytic activity and substrate specificity, and to change optimal reaction conditions [53,54].
