This year’s event was strong—better than last year’s field—and a highly-anticipated Seth Hernandez outing lived up to the hype. It coincided with a UNC-Wake Forest series in Chapel Hill that I swung over to see part of as well.

Earlier this week, Baseball America published its 2.0 mock draft, which featured updated player selections for the first 40 picks of this summer’s MLB Draft. Skip to content Elite velocity is on the rise, and not just in the pro game. Three high school pitchers from the 2025 class have already hit triple-digit velocity to join an exclusive—but growing—club of high-octane prep hurlers. Can confirm. Is good.

I'm going to need someone smarter than me to identify if this is good or not. @CarlosACollazo, is this good?

RT @EthanHullihen: @CarlosACollazo Last and only Crazy Tork is the only player to even sniff slot https://t.co/zBpNybaRDs

The last 1-1 pick to sign an overslot bonus was Spencer Torkelson in 2020 ($1,000 over). 2021: Henry Davis, $1,915,300 under 2022: Jackson Holliday, $656,900 under 2023: Paul Skenes, $521,000 under 2024: Travis Bazzana, $1,620,600 under

@bkfan09 @CarlosACollazo In this draft, the BPA is very subjective. No clear 1 of 1. They will take the Best Player and get a underslot deal.
