AbstractThe mosquito Aedes aegypti, main vector of arboviruses such as Dengue and Zika, causes major health burdens worldwide and is expanding its geographical range. A promising arboviral control strategy consists in replacing native A. aegypti populations with others artificially infected with the intracellular bacteria Wolbachia pipientis, which reduces the mosquito's vectorial capacity.
