1 INTRODUCTION Composite materials are widely used in many sectors, such as automotive,1 construction,2 energy,3 railway,4 aeronautics,5 aerospace,6 and so forth and they can be classified according to thermostability of the matrix used: thermoplastic,7, 8 elastomer,9 and thermoset.10 The focus in the present study is set on thermoset composite materials due to their outstanding mechanical performance while reducing weight and eliminating corrosion or degradation concerns.
