By all accounts, Diana Taurasi is the GOAT in women’s basketball. Her resume is so impressive, it’s ridiculous. But the Argentinian American was so brilliant, it seems myopic to see her only in the context of basketball, men’s or women’s. She is one of the greatest women’s athletes in United States history. Moreover, an argument can be made that Diana Taurasi is the GLOAT, the Greatest Latina of All Time in sports.

Two years ago, it would have likely been impossible to predict that Tony Martinez would be one of the top players in college baseball. The UC Irvine slugger was a lightly recruited player coming out of De La Salle High in Concord, Calif., even though he was Maxpreps 2022 Norcal Player of the Year. Martinez impressed right away, though, earning Freshman All-American honors from three outlets. He was also the 2023 Big West Conference Field Player of the Year.

Isiah Pacheco is set to chase more National Football League history. The Kansas City Chiefs’ running back is heading to the Super Bowl for the third consecutive year. The defending two-time champion Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Feb. 9 in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Pacheco helped the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills, 32-29, on Sunday night in the AFC Championship Game. The former Rutgers University star already owns a place in the NFL’s history books.

HOUSTON – Although Jose Altuve has played his entire career at second base, the 2017 American League MVP is willing to move to the outfield to accommodate third baseman Alex Bregman. Once the Astros’ season ended, Altuve made his voice heard. The nine-time All-Star urged the Astros to re-sign his longtime teammate. The Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, native has praised Bregman for his leadership role off the field and his ability on the diamond.
