In a groundbreaking step toward improving community health and reducing healthcare costs, Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) has received a significant boost for its Community Paramedicine Program. The Marion County Board of County Commissioners approved the third amendment to the Community Paramedic Program agreement on Jan. 21, officially accepting a $100,000 grant awarded by Florida Hospital, Inc., doing business as AdventHealth Ocala.
