INTRODUCTION “Brain fog” is an umbrella term used to describe a wide variety of cognitive symptoms. This term was previously used to outline subjective mild cognitive difficulties encountered in several medical disorders, including celiac disease, rheumatological disorders (e.g., lupus, Sjögren's syndrome), endocrine disorders (e.g., hypothyroidism), chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, among others [1-5].
