No crimes or fires were reported on Wednesday, Nov. 20, or Thursday, Nov. 21. On Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 2:08 p.m., someone reported a larceny at Grote Hall that occurred between 11:00 a.m. and noon. The case was closed with no further action. At 2:56 p.m. that day, stalking was reported on campus. The time of occurrence was unknown, and the case was closed and reported to the Title IX Coordinator. On Thursday, Nov. 23, at 2:42 p.m., a warrant service was conducted near Palmetto and MLK.

Every choice has a consequence on human life - good or bad. There are small choices. Choose to study for a test and get a good grade; choose to skip the class and fail the quiz. However, the choices made out of love are complicated for many parents of queer children. While they might not be able to control their discomfort, they can control how they respond. The question being: What will they choose? Loving as a verb and loving as a feeling are mutually exclusive. One can be done without the other.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1:14 a.m., a drug abuse violation involving the simple possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia by four non-students was reported at the 800 Block of McCallie. The incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. The case was closed with no further action. Later that morning, at 6:04 a.m., someone reported a liquor law violation involving underage possession of alcohol at Decosimo Apartments (UTC Place 2000).

Chancellor Steven Angle’s eleven-year run as UTC’s Chancellor will soon come to a close. By this time next semester, UTC will have a new Chancellor and Angle will transition to a faculty member role, according to an email sent to students, staff and faculty on Nov. 5. “While I am not yet ready to retire,” Angle said in an email announcement. “I am ready to step away from the Chancellor’s role.”His return as faculty will be effective Jan. 1, 2025, leaving many in the UTC community shocked but hopeful.
