    President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Abdulraof Macaua as the new chief minister of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority and replaced 21 members with new ones. The BTA is the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM’s) interim government. A total of 58 of the 80-member parliament were retained, including Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Chairman Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim who was replaced by Macacua. The former held the post since the BARMM’s creation in 2019.
