NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Police said the mother of a teen daughter who was shot Saturday night reports the gun that killed her fired off accidentally. The Metro Nashville Police Department said a 13-year-old girl was shot around 10 p.m. inside her home on Edgehill Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she died of a single gunshot wound.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Search efforts continue for Sebastian Rogers nearly a month after he was reported missing. Rogers, 15, has been missing since Feb. 26. An Amber Alert was issued for the missing autistic teen, who was last seen in the area of Beech and Shackle Island, near Long Hollow Pike. On March 23, the United Cajun Navy, a volunteer disaster response organization, deployed a search team to Sumner County to assist in finding Rogers.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert on Monday for two children out of Shelbyville. Officials said 2-year-old Journey Garrett and 9-month-old Daley Garrett were last seen on March 13 in Shelbyville. Authorities believe the two girls may be with their non-custodial mother, Casey Campbell, in Powell, Alabama. Campbell is wanted by the Shelbyville Police Department for especially aggravated kidnapping.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Crews arrived on the scene after a body was reported floating down the Cumberland River. The body was reported at around 1 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Cleeces Ferry Road. The Nashville Fire Department said the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reported the body floating before the Martin Luther King Bridge. NFD said the deceased person was seen wearing a maroon-colored shirt and did not fit the description of the missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said William Rutherford, Kenneth Campbell, and Elvis Bush escaped at around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 29. Bush, 43, was located hours after the escape and was back in custody just before 2 a.m. on Friday.
