While in the process of writing my book Shamanic Dreaming, at some point—as is generally inevitable—I began to wonder what I was doing, and started to doubt myself. I went to sleep that night in one of those “questioning my whole life” states of being. “What is this visionary thing? Am I making it all up just to be different? Nobody wants to know anyway, Carol.” I felt miserable and stuck.
