A walk-in at Minnie Miñoso Academy in Bridgeport kicked off a day of rallies at various schools on a "National Day of Action."CTU Vice President Jackson Potter said members are calling for a contract that prioritizes disabled students, students of color, and CPS staff.

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - CTA commuters will not have to wait as long for buses thanks to a new plan the agency is rolling out later this month. The launch of "Frequent Network" aims to increase reliability and improve frequency of CTA buses. The plan includes increasing service so that buses arrive every 10 minutes or sooner on 20 key bus routes. The agency says this means riders won't have to wait as long for the next bus if they miss one.

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Gov. JB Pritzker expresses concern amid the Trump administration's threats to slash the Affordable Care Act expansion. Pritzker said cutting The Affordable Care Act expansion would be "devastating" for 770,000 Illinoisans who rely on Medicaid. "If Donald Trump and the Republican Congress eliminate the Medicaid expansion, we will have people who get sick and die because they don't have coverage from that Medicaid expansion," Pritzker said.
