1. IntroductionAccording to the latest World Population Prospects report, it is estimated there were 771 million people aged 65 or over worldwide in 2022. Moreover, the proportion of the world population in this age range will increase from 10% in 2022 to 16% in 2050 [1], which constitutes both a social success and a future challenge for current policies.
