Last week, LSU Greek Life put their building skills to the test for a cause bigger than themselves. Every year, the Greek community collaborates with Habitat for Humanity. This nonprofit organization helps provide homes for families, focusing on the importance that affordable housing plays in stabilizing the community. The four councils of the Greek community, PHC, IFC, NPHC, and MGC, come together during this week as one council to give back to the Baton Rouge.

William Grand, a Kappa Alpha Order fraternity member, realized how much food was being thrown away in his fraternity and other Greek houses down the row each night. This was the birth of his on-campus organization Giving Greek.

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in Louisina's adolescents as well as in NCAA athletes. Having conversations about mental health is crucial to keeping those around us safe. Ryan Clark, former LSU football player and now ESPN analyst, has a very personal connection to this cause as he lost a good friend to suicide. He now returns to LSU's campus as an advocate for mental health to host a suicide prevention panel speaking to athletes and students.
