1 Introduction Mental ill health is highly prevalent among young people and the number one threat to their health, well-being and productivity (Kessler et al. 2005). Since the onset of the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, we have seen a rise in anxiety and depressive disorders in young people (Santomauro et al. 2021).
