His experience in horror was perfect because he would later apply his cutting dialogue in the town of Mystic Falls in a romance for the ages. Adapted from L.J. The CW’s Legacies was the last gasp of the great The Vampire Diaries universe. The second spin-off from the flagship series was different in almost every way but kept the offspring of the characters fans held most dear. The Forbes-Saltzman clan and Klaus Mikaelson’s one and only daughter spearheaded the series, with many other characters filling out the ensemble. But fans wanting a carbon copy of The Vampire Diaries tend to be disappointed with the series.
