However, the large gathering at the holiday table, with overlapping conversations, can be overwhelming when you have hearing loss. Despite usually hearing well with my cochlear implants, this noisy setting makes it challenging. I often struggle to follow the chatter, catching only bits and pieces of words and watching mouths move without fully understanding.
