I’m marking two anniversaries this month. It’s 10 years since my own annus horribilis, when my husband walked out leaving me with two little boys under four. At the same time a close friend was diagnosed with cancer, a relative became very ill and subsequently died, and I was dealing with a toxic bullying situation. This was on top of a long commute to work and figuring out how to manage as a solo parent. All of which nearly tipped me over the edge.
