In northwest North Dakota on the campus of Williston State College, JE Dunn is building a 44,000-square-foot building that will be a new health training facility. The project — worth more than $36 million — will offer a range of programs that local health care providers have long sought. Partnerships with four-year institutions such as the University of North Dakota and Minot State University will enhance the offerings to address critical health care needs in the area.

Dr. Mohamed Elhamadany, a physical therapist and board-certified pediatrics clinical specialist, is an assistant professor at UND's Department of Physical Therapy. He worked as a physical therapist for years, treating children at United Cerebral Palsy of New York City, before transitioning to academia. He's seen changes in the discipline, moving from predominantly manual therapy interventions to one that uses modern technological advances, such as virtual reality.

Matthew Conley, owner of Tech Guru in Grand Forks, recently opened a satellite location in East Grand Forks' River Mall. When a previous comic book store business left the space, he jumped at the chance to have a presence in the mall. "This is a better location," he said, compared to his North Washington Street shop, where parking was minimal and he shared a building with another business. That shop will move to the former Valley Dairy on South Washington in a couple of weeks.
