    Citrus County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for an armed suspect reportedly at the center of a domestic incident that occurred early Tuesday morning on North Rockcrusher Road. The Sheriff's Office has identified 43-year-old Crystal River resident Jack Stearns as a suspect and says he is "possibly armed." He is wanted for questioning regarding the domestic incident, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office said.

    A woman who authorities arrested last month after a more than three-hour standoff with law enforcement at an Inverness apartment complex remains jailed, her weapons have been confiscated and her pet dog, which has been in the custody of Citrus County Animal Services since the incident, is now up for adoption. Sadowski eventually was taken into custody without incident. According to court documents, Sadowski is being represented by attorney Jacqueline Dixon with the public defender’s office.

    A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle late Monday night in Homosassa. The incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. Monday evening. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old woman from Citra was driving a Ford Explorer northbound on U.S. 19, just south of West Ponce De Leon Boulevard near Sugarmill Woods when an unidentified woman began to walk across the federal highway.
