In 2016, fans learned that there was an idea floating around the Supernatural writers’ room for a Smallville crossover. Supernatural and Smallville were arguably two of the network’s most successful and beloved shows, running for 15 and 10 seasons respectively. The CW has gone on to host some of the most prolific crossover events in recent years, but they fumbled a great opportunity to combine the two fan-favorite series.

The Office UK aired in 2001 on BBC and inspired the US version. Created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, the show ran for two seasons plus a Christmas special to provide some closure for the characters—namely Dawn and Tim. The mockumentary followed David Brent and the employees of the Wernom Hog paper company. When Ricky Gervais appeared on The Office Deep, he spoke about his inspiration for creating the iconic series.
