The design team here at The Verge worked with her to create the evocative visuals in “Friend or Faux?” — a story layered with ethical and philosophical questions about the newly unfolding relationships some people have with AI chatbots. I stumbled upon Pyeatte’s work on Instagram one day when I was scrolling mindlessly through the feed — and it stopped me in my tracks.
