    The Dunwoody Homeowners Association on June 22 heard a proposal about a zoning change that would allow the construction of more than 200 age- and income-restricted apartments on Ashford Dunwoody Road - a plan that two weeks ago was thought to be dead in the water. The board listened to a presentation by developer and property management Dominium, detailing plans to develop a 3.42-acre parcel into 215 apartments, with 248 underground parking spaces.

    The City of Tucker will start celebrating America's birthday a day early with an evening of food, music, and fireworks. The July 3 celebration starts at 6 p.m. with 12 food trucks located on and around Main Street. In addition, restaurants like Nicky's Undefeated and the Local 7 will have street-side service, according to Tucker Event Manager Ryan Wenzel. About 10,000 people are expected to attend the event.

    DeKalb Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a beloved Tucker institution June 16 around 7 p.m.According to a social media post by Matthews Cafeteria, a suspect, after robbing the store of an undisclosed amount of money, drove away in a black Acura MDX. The restaurant's owners encouraged residents to share the picture, and DeKalb Police is also seeking information about the man's whereabouts.
