    Firefighters are currently in attendance to a blaze in a flat (Image: Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) Firefighters are tackling a blaze in a second floor flat in Suffolk. Three fire crews have been called to the fire in Hadleigh High Street after the alarm was raised at 1.28pm. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was in a second floor of a flat. Firecrews from Hadleigh, Sudbury and Ipswich Princes Street are in attendance.

    Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called at 8.27am this morning to a bungalow fire just off Green Road in Brandon. Fire crews from Brandon and Mildenhall assisted colleagues from Norfolk. Upon arrival an area of the building was well-alight and hose reel jets were used to bring the fire under control. There were no casualties, and a stop time was called at 10.11am. It is unclear what the cause of the fire was.

    At around 9am on Friday, May 23, a woman was paddling with a Jack Russell dog on the beach at the bottom of Second Avenue, in Caister-on-Sea. The sea was fairly rough, and a wave knocked her forward. This fall caused her foot to lodge in the sand. According to eyewitness reports, a couple who were walking along the beach stopped to help and called an ambulance. They gave her coats and gloves as the cold was causing her to go into shock.
