De les cròniques –traducció pròpia– que César González-Ruano (Madrid, 1903 - 1965) va publicar a La Vanguardia (3/5/10-IX-1944) cinc setmanes abans de la incursió d’uns 4.000 maquis antifranquistes a la Vall d’Aran. El 19 d’octubre vinent farà vuitanta anys d’aquella invasió promoguda pel PCE. Set dies després, Carrillo, líder del partit, va ordenar la retirada dels guerrillers, derrotats pel general Moscardó al capdavant de l’Exèrcit i la Guàrdia Civil.

Spin texture and spin-orbit coupling contributions in spin-triplet superconductivity

Over the past decade, it has been proposed theoretically and confirmed experimentally that long-range spin-triplet (LRT) superconductivity can be generated in superconductor/ferromagnet hybrids either by the presence of spin textures (ST-LRT) or owing to spin-orbit coupling (SOC-LRT). Nevertheless, there has been no theoretical or experimental investigation to date suggesting that both contributions could simultaneously exist within an experimental system.
Observation of Magnetic State Dependent Thermoelectricity in Superconducting Spin Valves

Abstract Superconductor-ferromagnet tunnel junctions demonstrate giant thermoelectric effects that are being exploited to engineer ultrasensitive terahertz radiation detectors. Here, we experimentally observe the recently predicted complete magnetic control over thermoelectric effects in a superconducting spin valve, including the dependence of its sign on the magnetic state of the spin valve.
