Hanmi Semiconductor Co. held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday for its new factory to manufacture thermocompression bonding (TC) bonders, a key device in high-bandwidth memory (HBM). According to the company, the new factory will be a two-story, 14,400 square-meter building adjacent to its existing facilities. More than 40 percent of startup employees, founders, and investors have integrated artificial intelligence (AI) technology into their work, according to a recent survey by Startup Alliance Korea, a non-profit organization supporting the startup ecosystem. The survey revealed that 41.6 percent of startup founders and 48.5 percent of startup employees have adopted AI in their roles.
