We wrap up the weekend on another sunny day for much of the area. Temperatures will have a strong gradient around the region due to a light east-northeast breeze. Along the shore from Duluth up through Grand Marais, highs look to stay in the low 50s for a pleasant, but much cooler spring day than we see inland. For example, Ely will look to warm towards 70, and then once you get out towards Grand Rapids, highs even slide up to the upper 70s.

Today is another gorgeous day to wrap up the first weekend in May around the region. Highs warm up into the mid-70s this afternoon, and once we get there, we will not look back for much of the coming week. Winds will remain light, so that will be even more reason to get out and enjoy the pleasant weather. Tomorrow sees a rather similar day to start the work week, with highs in the low 70s and plenty of sunshine.

It looks to be a dreary day to wrap up the week for much of the region. Rain will still be sliding through for much of the area Friday morning, and a bit of a breeze will pick up to 10-20 mph out of the northeast. With the overcast skies and cool wind off the lake, temperatures throughout the region will struggle to get out of the 40s, but warm, spring weather is not too far away.

For the first weekend in May, we are tracking a pleasant and warm weekend throughout the area. A few showers may still be sliding out of eastern Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin for Friday, but overall, that will be the one cool evening, before we start off the weekend with a nice warm-up. Saturday looks to bring plenty of sunshine to the region, with clouds possible across southern Minnesota, but overall a nice day.

Today we are tracking severe weather becoming likely for most of southeast Minnesota. It is a day where you will need to be attentive to the conditions for much of the afternoon, as while the first round of storms will be your morning wake-up call with a rumble of thunder to start the day, the chance for severe weather becomes likely this afternoon.

We are tracking a warm weekend for the Minnesota fishing opener, with 40s and 50s tonight, and warming up Saturday.
