In politics, hate is mostly a cover for incompetence. American leftists used to be good at running things. From the 1960’s through the early 2000’s, Boston Public Schools were among the very best in the world. Ditto New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle – all were famous for having excellent public-school systems. Now? Boston Public Schools spend over $30,000 per kid per year, and only 23 percent of students who graduate are considered college or career ready.

During a recent interview, Kamala Harris said that she doesn’t support any religious exemptions for abortion. Asked if she’d consider religious exemptions, she said, “I don’t think that we should make any exemptions when we’re talking about the fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body.” The wording is important. She was asked about religious exemptions, but she responded that she wouldn’t “make any concessions” on abortion.

There was a big debate among conservatives during the Cold War: Would we win the Cold War because the Communists lost control over their economies, or would we lose it because we lost our virtues as a society? Thanks to Ronald Reagan, we recovered our virtues, especially patriotism, and won the Cold War. And now we’re losing to the terrorists because we’re losing our virtues.

If we hum “You deserve a break today…” or, “Two all-beef patties, special sauce…”, we all know what we’re talking about. McDonald’s is as ubiquitous as anything in America. One-in-eight of us have worked at a McDonald’s, from Jay Leno to Sharon Stone, Jeff Bezos to Star Jones. Even Kamala…umm, wait. No. She said so…well recently.

Kamala Harris’ interview with Brett Baier wasn’t the epic fail it could have been largely because Baier jumped Harris’ non-answers a bit too quickly, particularly at the start of the interview. But it was FAR from a Harris victory. Once again, Harris was exposed as an empty pantsuit, unable or unwilling to answer questions while running back to her usual word salad.
