photo by Wayan Vota“Dear PoPville,Any reason why the water fountains aren’t turned on? I’ve tried several parks on my running routes to include Dupont Circle, Mitchell Park and the dog park at the intersection of New Hampshire Ave and S Street NW. None of those fountains are on, and we’re clearly past winter. Any idea as to why?”

“Dear PoPville,Something I’ve been wondering that the populace might know–what is this no-parking sign saying? No parking from 12:01AM on July 7th until 12:01am on July 8th? It just seems insane that it says “24 hours” for what is clearly two days. It prevents parking overnight for two nights, which seems unnecessary for a moving truck.”

Back in May we were excited to share that Chinatown Regal Cinema was still open! Back in January it was reported they’d be permanently closing. Now, I hear that the Gallery Place/Chinatown movie theater worked out a new lease with the soon to be new Regal Cinema theater entity called NewCo (formerly know as Cineworld) and will remain open!! I’m told Ballston and Rockville locations will also remain open but Bowie will permanently close. Huzzah!!
