SWITCH: 'DANGEROUS ANIMALS' TRAILER This film is fun and silly, and sometimes that's exactly what the horror genre needs. While the stakes are high and the violence is substantive, what could simultaneously be more outrageous and yet also efficient than a murderer whose modus operandi is feeding his victims alive to sharks?

SWITCH: 'HERETIC' TRAILER It's clear from the outset that this film isn't going to appeal to a lot of audiences - and that's a real shame. It's not a through-and-through horror, so will disappoint many key audience members in the United States. Those who are afraid to have religion challenged will find offence here, while those with no interest in religion will find it doesn't resonate.

SWITCH: 'KINDS OF KINDNESS' TEASER TRAILER It's challenging to review this as a film in its entirety with this format, although it's not unique in this style; the excellent 'Wild Tales' comes to mind. There is a throughline of isolation for each story's key character, and they each face a hurdle to overcome that loneliness.

Diagnostic testing at CSIRO’s Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness at Geelong in Victoria has confirmed it as the highly pathogenic H7N3 strain of avian influenza, or ‘bird flu’. The strain was detected after an investigation into unexpected poultry deaths on the farm. Agriculture Victoria released a statement saying the property has been placed into quarantine with a reported 400,000 birds being “depopulated”, and that staff are on the ground to support the business and investigate further.

Now it’s our turn, as comet 12P/Pons–Brooks is creeping into view for the southern hemisphere. Before you get too excited, let me quash your hopes. Comet Pons–Brooks is visible to the naked eye, but only if you know where to look. It will look like a fuzzy glowing patch, but nonetheless promises some amazing photo opportunities for the coming weeks. Even better, it may serve as a celestial warm-up act for an even more special comet later in the year.

While Meghann Fahy does an amazing job of holding the film together, all that you’ll discover in ‘#DropTheMovie’ that’s not in the trailer is who the bad guy is - and there aren’t even that many candidates, making the thriller element of this film a bit of a bust.

‘#DropTheMovie’ has moments of genuine dread; these are in the moments that haven't already been spoilt in the all-too-revealing trailer. But it's a problematic, derivative movie worth watching only for a handful of compelling performances. Our review... https://t.co/NftDfLbycI
